What does this mean for you?

Now that your practice is joining Gen4, here’s a look down the road.

Over the next 60 to 90 days, Gen4 will automate your timekeeping and payroll, benefits, and similar administrative processes. You’ll have the opportunity to invest in your future through the Gen4 Dental Pathway to Partnership. You’ll get to collaborate on best practices with a larger team of like-minded dentists. And you’ll secure the future of your office in an ever-changing healthcare environment.

On Day One, “the day-to-day operations of the practice remain strikingly similar,” said Jensen. “What we say to our partner doctors is, ‘The day before we complete an acquisition and the day after should look pretty much the same.’”

“Now over the course of that first month or two is when some discovery work happens. We'll have a budget done by day 60, and we will start to work on growth plans for the hygienist and the doctor, so that we can really understand their vision for how they want to practice dentistry so that we can understand how we can help them get where they want to go. It's a 60- to 90-day path.”

For example, one of the biggest headaches doctors typically face is staffing. “When a doctor joins us day one, they have access to our recruiting team so they no longer have to handle the details of hiring and firing. We take their personnel needs, we hire them, onboard them, train them and get them ready to go. So the doctor has staff quickly ready to rock & roll,” Jensen said.

And a surprising thing can happen: You might grow or even rekindle your passion for dentistry.

“When doctors join us, they're reinvigorating their love for dentistry and their profession again. They’re not overwhelmed with having to do all the back-office stuff and deal with all these other things. Now the doctor can really just focus on their first love – dentistry,” Jensen said.

You’re already a successful dentist, so shedding administrative tasks gives you breathing room to gain perspective to help you elevate your dentistry. Collaboration and mentoring expose you to a broader array of technologies and procedures. And automating your office allows your team more time to focus on excellence in patient care.

“As Gen4 grows, we grow with the company – and that was something I hadn’t heard from anyone else,“ said Sameet Koppikar, DDS, a Gen4 partner dentist at Biltmore Dental Center in Phoenix, AZ.

As you begin this transition period, rest assured the best is yet to come for you – and for your staff.

“Success at Gen4 for you, our partner doctors, is having a dedicated high-performing team that partners with you to achieve your goals. For your staff, it’s having an employer brand and culture that resonates with everybody,” said Spencer Pierce, Vice President of People & Culture. “Are people excited to come into work? Are people excited to tell people they work with Gen4? By the 90-day mark, our goal is that they understand who Gen4 is, they feel a part of the team, roles and responsibilities are clear, and they are confident they can be successful.”
